Things I Learned While Working At Miami

Uugs, Sperry’s, and Rain Boots are both stylish and wildly comfortable.

The Best Sweatshirts have collars.

There are multiple comic book universes.

When JS and Jennifer have a child, it should be a girl.  Otherwise the poor baby is going to be named Dick Bragg.

How I would keep score at a baseball game. You know if the mood ever strikes.

The Loco is the best place to eat on Wednesday night.

How to advise.

The Green Lantern and Green Hornet are different things and do not even share a universe.

You can never have too many DVD’s.

Michael Jackson and I share more than a birthday.

I should never tell embarrassing stories, because they are never forgotten.

Onesies are hot.

I am a champ wiii boxer.

When people take a photo of you riding a bull, you may see it walking away from you down a parade route.

Starting a one on one with Date Dump Merry is a good ice breaker.

Sometimes a song is needed for motivation.

If a shower is not possible, a cap-sack is the next best thing.

The Meeting of the Dogs

Today I have two topics of interest to discuss; the meeting of Bethany and Randall and my return to work.  Both should take about a paragraph so sit back, crack open that bottle of water and enjoy.

Mike and I left Oxford on Friday the 18 and we only left about an hour and a half later than we had planned.  We had a good drive, apart from the lengthy period of time that we sat in traffic.  We reached Pittsburgh around nine and enjoyed two  fast food meals along the way.  The first at the Oxford Taco Bell and the second at a Wendy's along 70.  We met my Mom and Shana north of Pittsburgh and landed in Blooming Valley shortly before 11.  It was colder than the arctic outside so the delightful meeting of the dogs in the front yard did not happen.  I instead brought Bethany into the front hall and Randall ran over to see who this interloper was in his house.  They did the obligatory sniffing and then Randall realized that I had come along with the new dog.  He was happy to see me but, perhaps even happier to meet Bethany.  They had a good couple of weeks together, running and chasing each other around the living room.   It was entertaining and was photographed by my family a lot.  My parents will also post a facebook album of Randall's retirement by the end of winter, for those of you who have asked...

We came back to town right before the New Year and the return to work has been uneventful.  She is doing well, perhaps sniffing a bit to much on our walks to work.  She likes the snow a lot.  Classes begin for the students again on Monday, so that is when the action will pick up again.  I will writing with some entertaining stories in the future.
